1. Chelsea to win @ -190. Im not sure if Im disappointed with the Wolves so far this year because Im not sure I expected much out of them but their season is going south in a hurry....Expect them to finish absolute dead last this year and back in division 1 next year. Each game they are being crucified by their opponents except for the tie they pulled off like two weeks ago against another EPL bottom feeder. The Roman Empire on the other hand is running on all cylinders, with the additions of so many stars, anything other than the top is a disappointment. Im aware that Mutu went down injured yesterday in their CL match in Prague but I dont think much would change. Crespo has been waiting for his full EPL debut and whomever gets to partner him, be it JFH or Gudjohnsen or even Mutu if healthy will benefit from the constellation of stars that parade the Blues midfield...

Too much power, too much skill, too much money for the Wolves to try and match.

Aston Villa/Charlton under 2.5 -125

Lets begin by saying that these two teams are perhaps 1,2 in "number of yawns attracted per game". Villa is an offensively challenged squad that seems to enjoy 0-0 games, even though Juan Pablo Angel has been scoring of late, none of his other teammates have an easy time scoring. Add to this the fact that both Allback and Vassell have had their share of injuries lately and you'll have an even further inept Villa offense. Charlton, well, Charlton sings a similar tune and even though the recent additions of Di Canio and Cole have boosted their offense, it still remains a very limited team. I think two penalties would have to be scored in this one for the total to go over. Im not counting on that so Charlton/Villa under 2.5 for 1 unit.

Manchester City pk +105

Talk about a team that is on a fulltime high right now. Manchester City is not the best team in England but no one seems to have told them so. I really like the situation that presents itself in this game as they have brought on alot of talent of late and are hoping to be rewarded for it. Wanchope finally started his first game after a year and a half layoff with two nagging injuries. When healthy, Wanchope can fly (and no, Im not being biased)

Add newcomers Mcmanaman, Reyna, Tarnat, Sibierski to the mix that was already there and this team will be flying for some time. Fulham is a decent team that tends to play good football once every 3 games or so and I think they shot their wad last game against Birmingham *if memory serves me correct* This game might end up in a tie but I have a hard time believing City can fall to Fulham this coming weekend.

Birmingham pk and +.5 +101

I like this pick for two reasons. 1. I like what Birmingham has done in the offseason, bringing in several key players like Dunn and Forssell and has looked very sharp so far this year, with a very very good defensive four. 2. Leeds is a wreck of a team. Falling to the foxes this past monday was clear indication that this team is going nowhere, fast. Viduka, Sakho and Smith should be easily neutralized and the rest of the Leeds squad will take care of itself. The Leeds defense is a bit too shaky right now for me to pull the trigger on the under but I like that too. Will stick only with Birmingham for now though.

Newcastle over 2.5

As much as it hurts me to say this (Im a toon fan), Newcastle's defense sucks this year. Heck, at least they have Il Capitano up front, along with a still dangerous Bellamy and Mr. I can shoot from wherever I want, Robert. As long as NUFC plays their usual soccer and Bolton remains, well Bolton, I dont see how this can go under 2.5

Tottenham under 2.5 -118

Noticed how the writeups get smaller and smaller for each pick? Too lazy to write this one up but I like the under here. If anyone likes this too, they can write it up

Fine with me...

Thats all for now....

Good luck ladies and gentlemen.

Does anyone see these lines changing much between now and the game? Do you plan on betting them now rather than later?

I can see Birmingham (3.20) dropping after Leeds had that pathetic display a last game.
Also Arsenal at 3.40 is too good to be true for some people (i'm staying far away from that game). Big games like these tend to usually not live up to their preconceived expectations. Probably a low scoring draw in this game, I think.

Most other lines are about right.

Good luck
